Framing the View Differently
Following the examples given I should now observe the following points.
The following pictures, they were taken from different heights on the hill but the reservoir remains the main focal point. At one stage as I went lower down I began to lose the full view of the water, making rather a messy image where the nearside vegetation obscures some of the reflection.
- Simplify wherever possible
- Look for distractions and leave them out. In particular look for over-bright objects such as a dead leaf or a reflective building in the distance and observe what is encroaching at the edges of the frame.
- Use fore ground positively OR crop it out.
